The second generation of Picooc smart scales is the first to use the multi-phase bioimpedance method MFIM (Multi-Frequency Impedance Measurement), which reduces the error of determining body composition by 30% compared to other household smart scales.

At each weighing, the scales pass an imperceptible impulse through the body - and the percentage of fat, muscles, water in the body and other parameters are calculated by the resistance of the tissues.

An electrical signal travels through the lower body. The composition of the upper part is calculated based on a special algorithm that takes into account age, gender, height and ethnicity. The accuracy of this method is as close as possible to the accuracy of devices for medical bioimpedance analysis of the whole body.
